ABOUT GWEN

Selling homes is my job, but helping people live a happy and positive life is my passion. I love working with first-time buyers but also seniors in my capacity as a Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES). I'm a co-host on Ageing in Action airing on Eastlink TV, and love to meet new people at networking events. I also like to stay home and read, or spend time with my family - sometimes you'll even find Bandit too, my beloved dog - you might see him on my social media occasionally. After 30+ years of home-selling experience and reaching many personal goals, I embarked onto the challenge of creating two podcasts: Real Estate with Gwen Price (www.realestatepodcast.ca) and Sudbury Talks with Gwen Price (www.sudburytalkspodcast.ca) as my way of showing you the people and leaders of the real estate community, and what makes our community so diverse. Further, becoming a board member on Home Hospice North is a tribute to my father. I would love to make your home buying/selling process easy, and show you even more reasons to love Sudbury at the same time!

More than 30 years ago, in May 1988, I started my real estate career. Before I started, I had a misconception of what being a salesperson was all about. I thought to be in sales meant that you had to be aggressive and pushy. That's not true. Sales are about establishing relationships. Over the years, I have developed many lasting relationships with clients, colleagues, friends and even my husband, Rick Lavoie who I met when I started my career.

Thank you to my husband, Rick Lavoie. You have been my sounding board and supporter through all the tough times. Also, thank you to my "kids" for your words of advice and for forgiving me when I had to rush out the door to an appointment - my daughter Amanda Lavoie Parsons, son-in-law Shawn Parsons, grandson Flynn Parsons, and son Keenen Price-Lavoie (my videographer).

I respect all who have helped me along the way, and I value my clients who have entrusted me with their most valuable asset. Although many around me at "winding down", I am "winding up". I'm able to say that I am enjoying my career more than ever. I love the technological changes that enable us to reach so many people on a daily basis. The videos that I do have connected me to so many amazing entrepreneurs and individuals in our city.

Not everyone can say that they still enjoy their career after more than 30 years. So thank you to all the wonderful people I have met along the way!
